Here’s a little bit about us:
Our names are Alex and Shaea Bernard, and we started St. George Board Game Convention, aka STGCON. We found that board games have been a great way to bring our family together as well. Not easy in these days where computers and electronics dominate so much of their time. In the past, we have attended multiple board game conventions, and have enjoyed each one. The ability to learn so many new games, and play with new people, is one of the most informative and enjoyable activities we have found. Providing a fun and immersive event for families and friends to spend time together is at the core of why we started STGCON.
Thanks to an overwhelming response from the regional community, our first 3 years have been very successful! With over 245 attendees in our first year, and over 300 attendees in 2016 and 2017, we exceeded our goals. This year we are planning for around 350 attendees, and we wish to provide the best vendors and exhibitors for them. We are settled in a great location which provides the space needed for a variety of vendors/exhibitors, a larger game library, and space for the various tournaments and special events. We continue to work with other convention organizers, board game publishers, and various demo programs, to make our convention the best it can possibly be. We are also committed to keeping this an annual event, and hosting other smaller events throughout the year.
This year, the St. George Board Game Convention will run from August 3-5, 2018. We will be hosting the event at the Red Lion Inn, in St. George, Utah. We invite you to continue browsing our website for more details. For our fourth year we expect attendees to join us from all of the Southwestern United States, and we would love to showcase your products.
